WELCOME
I am a third-year PhD candidate in Economics at the Research Unit on the Economics of Excisable Products (REEP) at the University of Cape Town (UCT), advised by Professors Corne' van Walbeek and Estelle Dauchy. I am also a research analyst at Development Gateway (DG).
My current research focuses on development microeconomics, with emphasis on health (alcohol and tobacco) and education, utilising survey data and applied microeconometrics. My research has appeared in journals such as Addictive Behaviours Reports, the British Medical Journal (BMJ) Open, Frontiers in Public Health, and PLOS Global Public Health. I hold a Master's degree in Economics from UCT (2021) as a Canon Collins Scholar and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Statistics from the National University of Lesotho (2019), where I received the top student award from Lesotho's Central Bank.
